My parents brought back a banana and a carrot chew toy for the dogs. Friday is a big fan of the carrot!

New yarn makes me smile! I stopped in at my LYS (local yarn store, for the uninitiated) to buy some buttons for a cardigan that I’m finishing up. While I was there, I picked up a skein of this Cascade Superwash 220 yarn in Grape. I used it to knit a hat for a three year old who deserves a whole lotta hats! She’s going through chemo and the goal is to build up a huge collection so she can chose a different hat every day.

Trivia night and Jeff’s vindication. For a whole year, Jeff has been plagued by a question from last year’s trivia night. He convinced himself that Damascus wasn’t the right answer, when it actually was. He’s brought it up several times since, so when a question came up where the answer COULD be Damascus, we wrote it down. We reasoned that we’d rather get it wrong than NOT write down Damascus and have it be the correct answer.

Luckily, Damascus was right. Phew! We ended up fifth overall, but were the music champions! I celebrate because I was part of the team, but contributed nothing to the music section.

Delicious dinner and good times at Rob and Sharon’s. Chopper and Friday fell asleep on the couch – and then Friday woke up and started giving Chopper kisses. Aw!

Lauriel – my most recently completed knitting project. Apparently, when choosing yarn colours, I choose dark ones that make it hard to see the details in photographs! It was slightly easier to capture the details with this one. It was very hard to capture the detail with my Angostura vest.
