One of my groups of students planted perennial flowers as part of their biome. One week later, and it’s sprouting! That’s great! I truly wasn’t anticipating much growth from seeds, but this seems to be a promising start.

Chopper truly is terrific when you’re not having a great day. He cuddles and kisses the gross feelings away when I’m feeling sick or down.

So, the other week, I found a recipe for chocolate bacon cupcakes with maple frosting. I just HAD to try it out – and here are the results! I was pretty happy with the taste – and aren’t they pretty?

Some time ago, I made Jeff a coffee. He doesn’t ever drink it right away, as he prefers it to be lukewarm. This unfortunately results in forgotten coffee, sometimes. This one has been sitting around for some time – see how much has evaporated? I’m waiting to see just how long it takes before the cup gets cleaned and put away.

What a weird weather day! I’ve been laid up at home, sick, with an awful cancresore on my tongue that makes it hurt to talk (or drink. Or eat. Or swallow.) When I took the dogs out to the bathroom for the first time, the weather was clear. It wasn’t until I saw a Facebook update of, “Snow?!?” that I thought to look outside. I had the exact same reaction. Snow? I was too lazy to get a snow shot, so I put on my telephoto and took these raindrop pictures instead.
