When I left work on Monday, I had an art lesson all planned out. The materials were ready, but I just wasn’t inspired. I went home, hopped on to Pinterest, where my friend Megan has a terrific art board. I found a number of lessons that could work in the time frame we had to work with, but this one caught my eye. The picture I took was of my own sample – ours were different from the original in that 1) we didn’t use the zentangle teachings (since I have no idea what that truly is), 2) our squares were 7 cm instead of 1 inch and 3) the paper was glued onto cardboard squares, since we didn’t have special paper. I meant to do two squares as examples, but the doodling is just so nice and calm… I had to finish. I think my students enjoyed it too.
