un peu capoté…

my life in pictures

We’re making paper for social studies/art. First step? Tear and soak overnight.

One of the tubs, filled with green paper, has a hole in it. I didn’t figure that out until most of the water had drained out of it – onto a bin holding our music duotangs. Oops! Luckily, the kids don’t use them very often. I know, see, since that bin was misplaced for weeks and no one once looked for them without me asking them to do so first.

Step two will be messy. We’ll blend the paper together and then use a homemade screen to create the paper. The homemade screen is a little sad – a picture frame with a laundry bag stapled to it.
